Kenneth Okello, Director of Operations – ALTALE
“In this business, precision is everything. One weak link in the chain can undo the work of hundreds. My job is to make sure every link holds.”
At ALTALE, operations are not just about moving products — they’re about moving trust. From the moment a coffee cherry or tea leaf is picked, to the moment it’s packed, shipped, and stocked on a shelf, we have one mission: flawless execution.
As Director of Operations, I oversee the systems that turn raw potential into world-class exports. I’m responsible for ensuring that our farmers, processors, transporters, warehouse teams, and export channels are all working in sync — on time, on spec, and at scale.
Uganda’s terrain presents challenges. Rural roads, unpredictable weather, logistical gaps — I’ve seen it all. But I’ve also seen what’s possible when you design the right systems, build the right team, and hold the highest standards.
Here’s what I believe sets ALTALE apart operationally:
- Consistency: We don’t leave quality to chance. Every batch, every shipment is tracked and controlled.
- Responsiveness: Whether it’s farm-level feedback or export clearance delays, we adapt quickly.
- Technology-Driven: From digital inventory to fleet tracking, we bring modern tools into a traditional industry.
- People-First Execution: Our success depends on real people showing up every day — we invest in them.
What keeps me going is knowing that when we operate with discipline and excellence, Uganda’s coffee and tea move farther, faster, and with greater value — not just for us, but for every farmer and every partner connected to the chain.
At ALTALE, operations aren’t behind the scenes — they are the engine.
