Yassin Abdalla, Chairman – ALTALE
“When you build systems that work for farmers, you build a future that works for everyone.”
At ALTALE, our vision is rooted in something deeply personal — a belief that Uganda’s agricultural wealth should not only be recognized globally but should first and foremost uplift the people who grow it. Coffee and tea are more than exports to us. They are the pride of our soil, the livelihood of our communities, and a legacy we must protect and elevate.
As Chairman, I view ALTALE not just as a business — but as a bridge:
- A bridge between rural farmers and global markets,
- Between raw potential and refined excellence,
- And between tradition and innovation.
We built ALTALE to take control of the entire value chain — because for too long, Ugandan producers have labored with little say in what happens to their crops beyond the farm gate. By owning every step of the process — from cultivation to logistics — we give our farmers a stake in something bigger. We give them dignity, consistency, and access.
My commitment is clear:
- To raise the global profile of Ugandan coffee and tea,
- To build an ecosystem that delivers fair returns to the farmer,
- And to prove that African-led businesses can operate with world-class standards while staying deeply grounded in community values.
We’re not here to play a small role. We are here to lead — humbly, boldly, and with integrity.
Welcome to ALTALE — where Uganda’s story begins in the fields and ends on the shelves of the world.
